PLUMAS COUNTY, CA

 

Plumas County is located just 60 miles north of Truckee via Hwy 89 N and 60 miles northwest of Reno via I-395N to Hwy 70W and 25 miles east of Quincy, CA, the county seat via Hwy 70 W.

 

Plumas county covers some 2,554 square miles with only 8.2 people per square mile and 20% of the people are over 65 years of age. Plumas means "feather" in Spanish.
